The Swimwear Trends To Try Out For Summer ’19

Spring break has come and gone and we’re approaching full blown summer! Yay! The sun is on it’s way and it’s time to book a trip to your favorite sandy destination! No travel plans? No worries, there are pool days and backyard BBQs to come too and we’ve got suits for all occasions. Summer doesn’t officially begin, in our opinion, until you’ve picked out your new favorite suit! Here are three swimwear trends making waves in our shops – give one of these (or more!) a try this summer.

Retro-Inspired Prints

What we love about these retro-inspired styles? They bring some instant glamour to your summer style. These suits are gorgeous for layering under a flowy skirt or palazzo pants – this is truly the perfect beach day style that can be worn into the evening, giving you some serious bang for your buck. One of the shop favorites is the Anne-Marie one piece in Wave print by Solid and Striped. We love the color choice in this retro-inspired print – plus this suit is fully lined, with full rear coverage.

The One Piece with A Cut-out Design

Put one-piece swimwear styles at the top of your wish list! From bandeaus and cut-outs, to low backs and high necklines, there’s so many options in the one-piece world this summer! What we love about this style: it’s almost like wearing a bikini, it’s not too revealing and not too modest at the same time. The cut-out detail is a gorgeous little moment of fun, but the style holds you in when you’re frolicking in the waves too. The one we love the most: the Kia One Piece in Gold by Mara Hoffman has a tie-front, adjustable straps, S hook back closure, and moderate/full rear coverage. This suit is designed in an SPF 50 Italian fabric in Gold, a fabulous color for the 2019 season!

Polka Dots, Fruit Prints and Kitschy Cute Styles

A street style trend coming in hot in the swimwear category, we’re pretty obsessed with the things our favorite brands are doing to reinvent classic ideas like polka dots, stripes, florals and fruit prints for example. Tap into your playful side with these tastefully done versions of kitschy cuteness. One of our favorites (because truly, they can do no wrong) is the Cherry Print by Beach Riot. The Camilla top has adjustable spaghetti straps, underwires and a back hook closure. Paired it with the Highway Bottom and it works both that retro trend and this trend at the same time! We also love options in our webshop from Luli Fama, L*Space and Paper London.
